Current Events > Just saw 'Trolls' (2016 movie). It was actually a lot better than I expected

I thought this would just be a dumb kids' movie, and in a way it was, but the movie was surprisingly well made. It had a lot of cute and funny moments, although it was obviously geared toward younger audiences. In a way, it reminds me of a lot of 1990s adventure movies but with present-day visuals because the animation is gorgeous, but the plot is rather unoriginal, not that I'm familiar with the premise of the Trolls franchise. Did anybody watch this movie and think it was better than they thought it would be?

I felt the same way about Smurfs. I caught it when visiting with younger cousins, so I didn't see all of it, but what I did see was shockingly good.
