We'd all probably live underground. Itd be a pretty post apocalyptic looking world.

Too lazy to check the math, but I'm pretty sure the Earth would be engulfed by the Sun at that distance. At the very least, all life would be wiped out and the atmosphere would probably be closer to Venus's.

Tbe average difference from earth to sun is 150 million km, while the average difference from earth to mars is 225km, but can be as close to 55 million km, or as far as 401 million km.

So actually distance from mars to earth is farther than earth to sun.

225km to Mars would have been cool!
