The clip in question: https://youtu.be/MY-_dsTlosI?t=200

I have never died in those spots, and they're hardly bullshit if you actually know how to play a platform game.

Not to mention there's an entire new mechanic that you can use to make navigating more difficult platforming sections easier.

It's not even "Nintendo hard" as he describes it.

Man I wish more people played Mega Man 11 and appreciated it. It's a top 5 classic Mega Man easily. Maybe even top 3.

It is a great game. I have a hard time comparing it to the 8 bit games because its different and those are too close to my heart. But its definitely better than 7 and 8. When I first played 11 I played all 8 stages and didnt make it to a single RM without getting a game over. It makes it that much more satisfying when you finally do beat a level. Same thing happened to me with 9. I love the difficulty level.

9 and 11 are my favorite games personally.

7 and 8 have a soft spot in my heart, but I understand they're a bit flawed.

Also I played on Superhero mode my first time with 11 (less health and weapon drops, more damage taken)

Makes me wonder if he recorded those clips on his first playthrough of the game. I had no difficulties in those areas. Many older games invoke a greater challenge. There are many NES titles even to this day that can hold me back, but I keep trying because they're fun.

As he says starting at 1:46

"Going forward however games would continue to become more and more approachable as developers found out that people actually like to win."

Yes because many games are made to hold your hand. When a casual player tries a typical MegaMan title, let's say 2 for example they immediately go to MetalMan to get his weapon as it breaks the game. That doesn't make it good. MM2 is looked at for it's nostalgia factor, but it's very flawed. In later titles there are shops so you can load up on tanks and extra lives and breeze through the game. You're right TC that 11 is up there. I'd say it's in my current top 5.

I found 11 harder than any of the nes games and at least on par with the end of 9 which I consider the hardest Megaman section
