This entire beginning space battle is actually pretty cool. He was taught to be like this but he's fighting against all of it which is why I felt that his sudden change to the dark side is that much better. I know he was supposed to be a little older there, but Yoda was a lot kookier and it was kind of fun. Plus, Yoda doesn't feel as wise. He was SUPPOSED to fall but nobody saw that part of the prophecy in time. Plus, it kind of fits with Yodas Do or do not.
