They are separate platforms, EGS, Steam, GOG are retailers. I think if you're inactive for a year or two then they can delete the games. Lost all my ea and ubisoft games. Bf3, me, fc bd etc yeah the games were quite old but it still kinda sucked. Steam account was fine tho. I think I was inactive for about a year and a half was on a console kick for a while and my last pc died. So try not to go to prison or anything like that or games gone. They can do it, because it's their service, but that doesn't mean they will do it, and they have to notify you beforehand and there's an appeals process to recover deleted accounts if it does get to that point.
