Did I unlock the true ultimate ending? The last scene is with Joker on the train and he thinks he sees Akechi out the window, and he looks in the window and his reflection is his metaverse self before he just grins and shuts the window/screen fades to black fin.

Never did beat vanilla P5. Wonder how the ending differs

I... think I like vanilla P5's ending more than Royal. I didn't even play vanilla and it was still quite obvious how the game simply insists on forcefully including Yoshisazawa in scenes, and also Maruki in scenes.

But regardless, who even were those men in the black car? Nothing was mentioned that there were still people after joker, either police or from what I've heard remnants of Shido's lackeys?

The Persona 4 fighting game is fun. Also besides the very end, Royal's epilogue chapter is great.

I quite enjoyed the additional chapter and how it expands on what the Thieves were worrying about all along - denying their targets free will and forcing a change of heart. For example, Sae was able to change her mind all on her own and never had her Treasure stolen to force a cognitive shift. Maruki just took the Thieves' idea and ran with it to its logical conclusion. Well-intentioned villains are my favorite.

One of my favorite things about Maruki is that he is completely transparent. He never really goes into deception or anything like that and is genuinely disheartened when you don't accept his proposal.

Except fes, p3p,p4g, p5r, persona dance, persona dance dance, persona dance dance dance all prove that so very wrong. The only one you could even make any argument against is p3p since it's some give and take to make it fit on a umd

Well, The Answer seems really, really grindy and the lack of compendium is stupid. Though the additions to the Journey (Aigis' SL especially) are worth it

As someone who played both, they didn't seem forced at all. And Vanilla's ending was pretty bad for Joker. He spends months in prison and then gets out only to say goodbye and go back home. The Maruki stuff built on everything the PTs had done and made them confront their own desires.
