I work hard to the extent that I see a benefit to myself or others. I don't ever specifically try to impress a boss/manager doing things that I don't believe are genuinely worthwhile.

No way, if I get my work done early I am paid for what my whole shift is scheduled for. So I regularly bust my ass to get my 12 hour days done in 8-9 hours so I can go home and continue getting paid to jerk off at home or play video games.
