It's not a joke post, the framerate drops in Bloodborne were absolute garbage
As mentioned before, BB suffers from frame pacing issues and the occasional 2-3 fps drops but never drops anywhere near CP2077 lows, which can be below 20 for sustained gameplay segments. If you can find any evidence that BB's frame rate issues are anywhere close to CP2077, I'll be very interested to see it.

Issue is them wasting time and resources trying to get the game to work on 8 year old hardware instead of just fixing the bugs

Cancel the last gen versions, make the next gen and PC versions the best they can be

They announced the game at the beginning of last gen so people expected the game to run on the consoles it was announced for.

The 8 year old hardware is what people actually have! 100 million people bought a PS4 in some form; like 3 million have been able to get a PS5 so far. They're never passing up that user base for a game that's taken this much time and money.

Even fallout 76 wasn't this bad. It was technically playable. Terrible server status and there wasn't any content except killing monsters. But that much was playable without too many issues.

Fallout 76 was absolutely worse than this, idk what you're talking about

This game is functional on PC. Fallout 76 wasn't functional on anything

I played BB for a week before my ps4 even connected online and thought it was fine. I remember, cause I came back from Cali with it and my internet service was shut off before I left. That comparison makes no sense to me.

Yes, but CDPR told customers if they werent satisfied with the game to ask for a refund, but didn't clear it with Sony. And PS4 is still taking precedent over PS5 due to most people not really having one.

It's such a hilarious shit storm the more I think about it.

CDPR didn't send out console codes and were remarkably aggressive taking down any leaks that showed how bad it was. I made a topic showing how dire the gameplay clips were pre-release and I've never seen so many sites get hit with takedowns.

So of course it comes out immediately how much of a disaster it is on most consoles. Right when CDPR is bragging about preorders. A few days later they write a letter to 'dear gamers' saying that if they want a refund to go to Sony and Microsoft and asking to be given a chance. Turns out Sony doesn't give refunds unless they have to. Which causes another controversy.

Sony now has to make the call. If they give refunds to CP2077 then going by their policies they're admitting the game is faulty. So if that's the case why would they give refunds while still selling the game? What would stop people buying the game after publicizing refunds and then refunding it anyway. So the game has got to go.

So many ways this could have been avoided. Ironically if they had a next gen version actually ready that would have stayed up but they don't even have that.

Exactly the same as you on a base PS4. 30 hours, 3 crashes. There are definitely severe issues that need to be addressed, but Skyrim on PS3 was way worse (crashed nearly every session for me), barely got fixed and remains on the PS3 store, It even runs like shit on PS4.

The biggest factor is expectations now have changed. We have more knowledge than ever thanks to stuff like social media and digital foundry. Overall framerates and stability this generation have improved. Combine this, CDPR's shadiness over review copies and 8 million preorders and this is what they get.

I think that's part of it, but I also think developers have been delivering higher quality polish this gen than last. One example is BL3, which basically runs about as well as BL2 did on PS360, but people have complained about performance constantly. Tons of big games didn't hit frame rate targets back in the day.

My game freezes up when I even try to change the radio station. It stops everything for 10 seconds just to pull up the station list.

I don't expect the game to run as well as it would on PC or PS5, but I do expect it to run as well as any other PS4 which it absolutely doesn't.

This is probably the key factor. I also suspect CDPR being only a quasi Western company makes it easier to remove. Many people make foreign cultures/countries meet higher standards (of course they will never say this out loud).
