Most of us have heard about Mitochondrial DNA and the 7 Eves often enough to have a basic grasp of the concept. So finally there is a scientific basis for race but do you see anyone dropping his preconceived notions and accepting everyone with the same mitochondrial mother as an equal?

BTW I did 20 minutes of research before creating this topic and I found this article in Nature which presents some evidence that there can be a male contribution to mitochondrial DNA.
