I live in Cape Coral, which is right next door to Fort Myers in southwestern Florida. Back in '96, a teen militia group formed in Ft. Myers, they called themselves the Lords of Chaos. Ended up murdering a music teacher from one of the high schools.

Anytime I've mentioned it to people, they are dumbfounded. Like no one's heard about it.

Anchorage Alaska had a serial killer that used to take people into the woods and then tell them to run. Then he would hunt them down and kill them

I live kind of close to the South Pittsburg Hospital in Tennessee, it has the reputation of being one of the most haunted places in the US, and has been investigated by Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, and many other paranormal investigation teams.

lydia's bridge

https://www.wfmynews2.com/article/news/local/lydias-bridge-mystery-solved-famous-ghost-traced-to-real-tragedy-local-family/83-487001437

I remember hearing stories of her appearing to certain people, and asking for a ride to her former family home, but only to disappear.

It got so bad that the current family house owners had to gate their residence to stop people from coming up to the house.

I think the very first episode of Supernatural was inspired by this

She gets in the car and then people turn around at the destination and the backseat is empty right?

Yes, and rarely there have been times they had a conversation with her.

@Zikten

I'm unsure of what conditions have to be met for her to appear, but it happens around at night and has to be a thunderstorm out is one thing I heard.

The town I live in in northern Nevada still sounds a loud horn every day at noon and 6pm. You can hear the horn all throughout the town. The sounding of the horn was originally used to tell the local Indians when they could come out (noon) and when they had to return to their homes(6pm).

Huh, a sundown town for native americans. i suppose i shouldn't be surprised, but i'd only heard of those for black people.
