It's okay to kill people as long as a greater number of people will live? For the greater good?

We should probably slow down, deal with lockdowns until we can ensure the vaccines are safe.

3 people compared to the countless many who will die without the vaccine.

And let's be real. Lockdowns aren't the most effective in the united States of freedom

Neither is pressure to get a rushed vaccine from people you don't trust who have been wrong about this from day 1

The whole point of vaccines is to tickle the immune system. Sometimes, it gets tickled a little bit too much.

Unbiased question:

What are the rates for these kinds of reactions for more common vaccinations?
given that older vaccines involved eggs, horse blood, and/or the actual virus itself, my guess is that it was one of these two options:
-such allergic reactions were more common
-people with related allergies knew not to get specific vaccines
(I suppose it could also have been some combination of the two)

because of the way this vaccine is developed, it's actually less likely to cause allergic reactions like this. I would guess that the reaction is just triggered by different allergies

How many people have received the vaccine, what's the rate of reactions as opposed to other vaccines, and what's the rate of reactions in the normal populace without the vaccine?

America shipped 300,000 so even if that's all the was, the current rate of anaphylaxis is 1/100,000 for this one.

This. Just like thousands more people are gonna die if we don't go the vaccine route sooner than later. It isn't about one choice being perfect.

I just got sick off the flu shot for the first time this year. Doesn't mean Im gonna go full conspiracy pussy douchebag.

Yes actually. Zero to a handful of deaths vs hundreds of thousands plus more deaths is a no Brainer. We take greater risks everyday for lesser things.

No one has died of the vaccine and its extremely unlikely to happen if administered safely.

Surely a pharmacy or medical center has fucking epipens.

they were unrelated to the vaccine, and four of those got the placebo

The US is not going to implement real lockdown procedures with conservative governors resisting it at every step.. Even if your city/county/state somehow manages to put in strict lockdown procedures, Governor Aloicious Hogfucker down the road is going to be letting people do whatever they want without masks and ensure the spread will continue to worsen even by the time you open back up

It's stupid, but it's just unrealistic to suggest it as a solution this far into things. Way more people are going to die if we keep resisting vaccines due to allergic reactions that we always knew were going to happen to some degree

It is as if people suddenly don't know anything about vaccines. Even the long tested vaccines have people get extreme allergic reactions to them and yet they were deemed safe and you probably got them.

Who's dying? She got a severe allergic reaction, it sucks but a huge majority of the time these people make it out alive with no future complications.
