If I was bad at counting calories, I would say 230 calories of fish and 50 calories of greens But that wouldn't take into account the feta in the salad, nor especially the olive oil I fried the fish in and then emulsified with butter into a sauce So the sauce alone is gonna be like 700 calories or perhaps more. Oh geez. That's such a minuscule volume for so many calories. The sauce alone is almost equal to what I eat in a given day. It'll probably be really good, at least.

People who start counting calories often fall into the trap of counting their protein and carbs but just skipping the details, like butter, oil, condiments, etc. This is actually the perfect example to demonstrate the problem. Someone thinks they've eaten 300 calories but they really ate closer to 1000, just by not taking into account the sauce. The_Shrink posted...
