the game isn't that bad. it's has problems of course, but most of it pertaining its free roam and GTA - style gameplay. RPG aspect goes from ok to solid. not amazing, but solid.

+gun variety: guns feel good, each feels different and each have their own unique shot mode/power.
+questing is decent too. some gigs are interesting and have decent themes/context while i haven;t got much real sidequests yet since i just met judy. some levels in the random gigs are pretty non linear with multiple points of entries, and they give you choice to play how you want
+writing is pretty solid. no complaint so far. voice acting are great, dialogue are great, soundtrack is banging.
+stealth isn't as bad as people say on PC at least. it's still on the easy side, but i found NPCs react in believable-ish ways. at least if you're into hacking.

# driving: neutral. isn't bad, but i mostly doesn't care as long as it isn't GTA IV shitty

-open world elements: raelly forced to be GTA like, especially since the game doesn't have chase/driving AI: https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkg...ust_realized_that_there_is_no_ai_for_driving/
-random NPC reactions are worse than bethesda games

but overall the GTA side of the game is bad, but the RPG side is solid so far.

yea i am feeling the same way so far, i think if cdpr didnt market it as a do anything type of game it would be received better. reminds me of witcher 3, in that game you could go on killing sprees in towns but there's no reason to do that

I just see driving like I see Roach. Just a fast way to get around. I haven't even touched the fast traveling and I've been going to crime areas just to complete them and make some eddies. Yesterday I paid off Victor and watched the boxing match with him and then went back to earning eddies. I hardly touched this game and I'm enjoying it and excited to see where it leads.

If they had worked on the pedestrian/police AI and gta-style gameplay more and made it fun like in gta, the game would be game of the decade. The story, characters, dialog, narrative, graphics, and immersion during story moments are very high-tier.

I'll admit that there were times I wasn't even sure what I did that was illegal <_< and then the police show up and it did feel off the wall.

Then another time I thought stairs were a road, went down them, killed someone, and police show up.

Also, does anyone else's cars look completely wrecked for no reason? I'd call my car and the doors are missing lol...like someone totaled it.

I like the game a lot but the stealth and the driving are both absolute dog shit.

it's so easy to escape from the police within certain treshold level beofre they just spawn beside you all the time

Console or PC? I don't get many issues on PC

Also, night city and the surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous. Looking at night city from the city outskirts just blows my mind how beautiful it is. There is no other game that has combined beautiful landscapes with a cyberpunk theme.
