Just saw this on social media and haven't had a chance to test it yet myself, but it seems pretty in line with other performance fixes I've used in past PC games so it might be worth a shot if your computer is struggling a little bit.

If it works, please say so in this topic so I know to tell other people as well.

It should be. All you're doing is raising the ceiling on what the game allows itself to take in order to run. Even if you put something too large, my guess is at worst you might cause a blue screen when the game tries to access ram that is currently in use.

Edit: the only downside would be that you probably couldn't run in windowed mode with other stuff open. but if you're running in full screen and are trying to maximize performance it's worth trying, even if you only bump the numbers up a little bit.

I used to have to do these sorts of config file changes constantly with older PC games. Popping into an ini file to unlock the frame rate, or create custom key bindings, etc is pretty standard practice. It's especially common in unreal engine games because they expose a lot of their settings via config file.

Yeah you used to have do stuff like this pretty regularly.

I'm in Konpeki Plaza in Act 1. Not the most demanding of places, but I went from 79-87FPS up to 107-112FPS. Same settings. Will try a more urban area.

I was hitting around the same FPS, with dips further than my baseline FPS. No real appreciable difference.

So it's a boost, but probably not a game changer.

Hopefully people find more tweaks like this in the near future.

But can it fix the game randomly killing unconscious enemies when you place them? Motherfuckers smash into shit six feet away and explode.

The physics engine in this game is a hoot. I'm sent flying 30 feet because a random bag of garbage was having a bad day.

So I did this and I think it made the game run a bit better BUT now I have to run this as admin everytime I launch it or the game just runs at 10 frames

this related to the issue that apparently makes the game run poorly on amd? something about it only using physical and not virtual cores on amd cpu?

I did this yesterday and it did make the game more stable. No adverse side effects that I've seen. I'm on older hardware so it didn't really boost frames though, just made it more smooth.
