The first time I watched Zombieland, I was entertained but not blown away. On subsequent watches, my appreciation of the characters and overall atmosphere really went up. It's one of my favorite movies now.

I also enjoy South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut more each time I watch it, especially if I get to watch it with someone who hasn't seen it before. Even if it isn't quite the funniest material South Park has ever done, it's such a genuinely great musical.

Tbh almost any (good) movie adaptation of an animated TV series has a place ITT w/ the exception of EEnEs Big Picture Show - not a knock against that one but seeing that opening chase scene for the very first time hit on a whole different level

Something about watching Castle in the Sky again in HD made it one of the best adventure movies this side of Indiana Jones.

Wow, I forgot about Big Picture Show. That was way better than I thought it'd be. Great coda for the show.

Agreed based on having seen 9/10 Lynch movies (haven't seen Dune yet) & one Roeg movie (Don't Look Now)

Roeg is pretty great, and deserves far more recognition. He's only properly recognized for his three seventies films (and Performance, which he co-directed), but the films he made in the 80s are chips off the old block and criminally underrated. His adaptation of The Witches also shows he would have been quite adept making more mainstream productions. His early career as a cinematographer is also very noteworthy.

Fight Club is recontextualized after the first watch.

I also think The Prestige is another movie that falls into this category.

Momento as well.
