One of the best tv series endings out there. Some parts kinda drags on, but the last season was all fantastic.

I think i dislike the part where they went back to earth(at least the early part of the arc, the conclusion was great) that was the most dragging part. But the final problem is great.

It was one of the best season finales of any show I've seen. It was just fucking lovely.

And that scene where Chidi talks about the wave is heartbreakingly beautiful.

Yeah. The final solution of a true, fulfilled death to give meaning to eternity was so beautiful.

Top 3 series finale for me.

Not only was it a great conclusion to every character (including many side characters I didn't think we would hear from again), but true to the show's theme, it introduced some interesting philosophical concepts about the afterlife and eternity that makes you think.

Honestly, I have always feared death, but I also feared eternity for the exact reasons the show mentioned. I have never seen a show address eternity the way this show did, and its solution actually made me feel at peace. This inspired many conversations with my wife after the show ended.

I don't fear "death" as much as the process of dying. I am not religious so i am not really convinced anything would happen after biology and chemistry ceased, but even if eternity exist, i always thought i preferred oblivion compared to eternity even if it's all bliss, for the exact reason the show explored. How they solved it is just astoundingly profound, both the themes they try to explore and its presentation it's just perfect.

Plot wise, it also brings conclusions to all characters like you said. It's honestly one of those rare endings where you feel satisfied, but like not wanting more because it ended so perfectly. Kinda like eating a real wholesome meal that leave you perfectly filled and you don't crave for extra treats. Well that's what kinda being "ready" for the door in the show.

My wife and I just finished it last week too and man it was a great show start to finish. I think it only being 4 seasons is a plus as it didn't feel dragged on and the fact the main cast was small made each goodbye at the end have weight to it.

Absolutely loved it. Hilarious Brent still hasn't passed the test.

I feel like it's the only show in the world that had multiple set ups that other lesser shows would milk the hell out of for multiple seasons, and yet this show just plows right on through them at breakneck speed.

I can understand the dragging part, but I thought the ending was sweet, and like to think of it as every time you had this sudden inspiration to do a nice thing, like helping an old lady cross the road or carrying her bag of groceries, it was due to those little bits of goodness that a person leaves behind when they finally "ascend" or whatever the door represented
