I asked about this the other day and was told all I needed was a USB cord to plug my guitar into my PC. So I bought that, got my brother's guitar, and went to download the game and it says I need something called the, "Rocksmith Real Tone Cable." So was I told to buy the wrong thing again?

I think this is the third time this year someone had told me to buy something I didn't need. Kind of hurts, tbh. Don't even know why I try to become a little bit happier in life.

I just looked it up and I was told that it needed a special adapter and just overlooked it, and I even commented on it -

I'm happy to field any general guitar questions or provide playing tips but I don't know how helpful they would be in "message board post" form. Hands on instruction tends to work best there.

That said, feel free to ask anyway, I enjoy the subject matter.

Well, my brother knows how to play a bit, so hands on can be with him. But I'll be watching some YouTube stuff as well. I'll mostly be asking things like, "this is what I'm having trouble with, what works good for you?"

Also any technical issues I might have, since I'm terrible with PC stuff, lol
