lol. she hit a wall pretty fucking hard even in her 20s.
she can't sing and can barely dance. was only popular because she dressed in "teen" porn costumes in her music videos. she is probably the most overrated pop singer of all time.

I got really into Britney Spears about a year ago. Anyone who thinks she is 'terrible', well, sure there are some bad songs. I love the first four albums - I like to compare them to Black Sabbath's first four albums. Really damn good.

I've never gotten into Taylor. I mostly listen to experimental stuff, so it's kind of an odd occasion (like the Britney one) where I get obsessed with a pop star. The country vibe is just far less my thing. I'm sure I'll get obsessed at some point because I'm weird and slow.

She didn't view them as 'teen porn costumes' and thought they were silly and corny. Her singing was pretty impressive until producers insisted she continue using her 'baby' voice. You can see in live videos that her live mic gets cranked down far more as time goes on, but she still does some impressive vocal fills. Her live performances have looked a little dead for the past number of years though. I'd chalk that up to the modern music industry exhausting a sensitive person, not the 'she's a talentless whore' approach.

Hell no. Britney is fun as hell and her music has always been a huge guilty pleasure. I used to like Swift but then she became pretentious as shit while ironically her music became far more generic like the Britney's of this world. Except without a likeable character backing it. Apparently though her latest 2 albums are a return to form so I will check them out.
