Sometimes I think to myself and I'm like what the fuck!?

I remember reading about pandemic's in school, but the idea of one happening seemed only real in a Hollywood movie.

I figured we were too far advanced to ever deal with a pandemic.

before it happened, I would have never imagined any of this possible.

Not really but I was also expecting something like this, though I figured it would be an antibiotic resistant super germ. If you think about how and why zoonotic diseases come about, it's a damn marvel we haven't been fucked harder and more frequently than we have. Still time for all of that, I suppose.

No. In all honestly I'm shocked that this isn't even more common. With how much we travel around the world and how connected everyone is with the rest of the world, it's kinda amazing that pandemics aren't more common.

I figured if some virus was going to spread it would be because some person with tuberculosis took off their mask and sneezed on someone and it would set off a chain.

This. Actually had one those moments yesterday. Luckily for me it's rarely ever accompanied by dread. It's mostly just an emotionaless rerealization. Like when I'm in a car looking out the window. That tends to be when it hits me. Knowing I can't just get out and do what I normally would. I'm proud of how a lot of people are handling it and I think all the people in denial are the terrified ones. The ones that keep acting like they can live normal lives. I think they're trying to keep moving because they know if they stop and let it sink in, they're not gonna be able to handle the realization.

me too. i mean 3000 people dying a day? who gives a fuck? I know thats higher than 9/11. but who gives a fuck? almost 300k dead so far? who gives a fuck? right? they are just faking it. and in denial. right?

Oops. I misspoke. I put the words backwards. The ones in denial are the secretly terrified ones. The context surrounding it makes more sense in that order. Sorry to upset you. Reading that would of pissed me off too. Glad you pointed that out before I fell asleep.
