Imagine if the people that want masks realized how shitty the optics were in letting protests happen during a pandemic and instead lead by example. See also politicians.

Imagine if messaging had been consistant so people wouldn't think we were full of shit when we went from "masks do nothing" to "masks save lives".

Imagine if we thought about small businesses and people that lost their job more than getting another $1200 free spending money even if you don't need it so people wouldn't think it's "break lockdown or lose everything to Amazon".

Imagine if people that vilfied capitalism well before the pandemic realize how self serving a stay at home order was to them and that fact in and of itself is a lot of why people thought medical orders were bogus from the start.

Imagine if we hadn't vilified Trump for his entire presidency so that, again, people didn't think we were purposely trying to hurt him with pandemic cures.

Imagine if people were smart enough to realize "oh, there are reasons people didn't trust us and we're eating that now."

He most definitely is part of the reason we were hit so hard. Had he just acknowledged the severity of COVID-19 and encouraged proper safety precautions instead of blaming the left/China, the death toll would 100% be lower.
