Speaking as someone whos been trying to dramatically cut down on the drinking... just dont go into the topic?

The topic is maybe 15% actual drinking anyway, if even that.

I quit some time ago, but you can't stop people from doing what they're gonna do. On one upside, the community is pretty tight, so when they do drink together online they are at least able to somewhat monitor one another.

He's about 50/50 between decent, plausible posts and antagonistic counterproductive trolling posts (just on the topic of alcohol. He is also shitposting about random nonsense). Check the other topic. Search beer. You will see what acab is talking about. I would also be saying this if not for the cold storage alt angle. Too much of what I am seeing is untrustworthy.

I wouldn't troll about something serious like alcoholism. i just dont like gow flippantly some people approach drinking but i understand being antagonistic is not the best approach to convey that

Sure, but alcohol use disorder is also a spectrum that includes behaviors that a lot of drinkers here admittedly engage in, and even glorify at times. I don't think it necessarily means they have a problem, that's up to them to decide, but I've rarely gotten the impression that there's a frank and honest dialogue about alcohol use going on here.
