It seems Rian Johnson is not involved in any of these projects. Looks like his trilogy is never happening. Should have just done a trilogy and not the 8th movie.

In a sense this is the expanded universe we always wanted but this is a lot. and Disney is still being coy about whether there will be a high/old republic movie.The Acolyte will probably be the test for that. It's pretty clear Disney wants to be in every period to diversify. So those who enjoy the three different periods after each trilogy can all get something out of it.
