I really believe a person must have some sort of psychological defect if they obsess over things like this. The human eye just doesn't give a shit about 30fps vs 60fps; only the egoist gamer does.

There's a difference for sure, but it's a result of your eyes updating to a much frequent frame. That's why from like 60-120 there's a minor but still noticeable diff, and 120-240, I've experienced it myself due to having a sick computer, and I will never notice in my lifetime the difference between 120 and 240

So motion blur is the only difference? That's extremely underwhelming.

What? Motion blur is a separate setting. You can compare with and without it. Motion blur is used to mask low framerates.

The difference between having it run at 120 and 240 is that your farts smell better.

Watching that video of the GTA5 clip, I could see no difference. But other times I could probably see an improvement.

When slowed down you can see it it better.

I honestly can't tell the difference. If it didn't label it I sincerely doubt i'd have any idea which was 30 or 60 fps. Maybe if I watched it in super slow motion and paid super close attention, but just watching the video? I really see no difference.

Most people can't recognize more than 40-something FPS. Gamers like to play games at 60 FPS because it allows for a buffer, so if the frame rate dips down to 40-something due to irregularities, it won't be noticeable.

Some people can recognize higher frame rates, but I'd be damned if someone claims they can see differences after 100 and they're not lying.

I say all that to say this: there is definitely a difference between 30 and 60. I can easily see frame skips when I play Breath of the Wild, even when it is running at the highest FPS rate (game is locked at 30 on the Nintendo Switch).

I remember in CS 1.6, if your FPS dipped below 60, the actual physics of the game were different. I assume this was some sort of sync issue with the servers.

Some games, older ones in particular, tie physics to frame-rate (due to ...poor/"not-thought-out" programming)
It's why stuff like Fallout 4 breaks if the FPS goes too high.

If you play a very reflex reliant game like For Honor (yeah I know), it has a HUGE noticeable difference.

Something similar happened in Dark Souls 1 on pc using the DSfix mod. You'd sometimes clip through the floor when sliding down a ladder at 60fps. I guess the collision only checked 30 times/s

And then of the remaining 10, only 1 counts because humans only use 10% of their brains.
