So heartbroken, that was my 20th try and my best one too. I had the bow with an explosive shot and using the hungover/gas cloud cast

i just fucked up so bad. I hadnt died at all until one of the rooms in the end. I kept getting poisoned in a room and used all 3 DDs and my lucky tooth. First time I had issue with the poison

Got two forms of hades before I died with just 70hp

You should be fine, eventually you'll get so good you're on your 10th streak of beating the last boss with 10 heat. I just pulled it off today. I also felt the same way as you though. Took me about 30 runs in nightmare to win.

I cheesed my first win by using the shield. Putting it up blocks all the projectiles and auras, you just need to dodge a spin here and there.

third boss was annoying for awhile

i completely forgot you can block with the shield lol

I don't understand the poison effect in the final area. It's just needless punishment that should be a heat option instead.

? I've never had a problem with poison, there are those little wells that you can drink from. In the final rooms there are two.

Those wells are antidotes to the poison and refill up after like 5 seconds or something.

Edit: Just learned the poison stacks wow. Maybe that's what so many people are dying to. Yeah definitely heal the poison asap using those fountains and dodge the darts. I'm not kidding I have never died because of poison it feels like a minor factor right now at my point in the game.

I think you just need more practice. Spend the time to actually learn Hades' patterns instead of going in to do damage. The first form has three parts, it makes it obvious. First part is what you go against, second part he goes invincible and summons a couple of minions, third part he goes invincible and summons several minions.

Whenever he vanishes, take the time to kill off any skulls that remain on the field (or not since all you have to do is dash through the waves). PAY ATTENTION TO THE FLOOR, HADES LEAVES FOOT PRINTS RIGHT BEFORE HE ATTACKS. I'm not sure about this part, because I have the fight semi ingrained in my head, but I believe the foot print patterns on the snow actually tell you what he will do, even if you don't pay attention, usually when he appears you can tell what he'll do. Either shoot a skull, stab directly, or do a spin. Spin's the easiest to dodge because you see the circle coming out. The skull he does a pull back animation, and the stab he does a thrusting animation. WATCH CLOSELY. All you have to do is PAY ATTENTION to him. Watch hades well enough and he becomes so obvious in all his attacks you should be able to dodge them. I get it though, you'll freak out about incoming skulls or you're about to die or he has douchey minions around, that is all legitimate. What is also legitimate is you're gonna have to become intimate with the knowledge of all of hades' attacks whether you like it or not. Better to do it earlier than to get frustrated after the 100th time you fight him that you still don't get him. Spend the time watching him well and still dying to the other nonsense, until you reach the point that Hades' himself is a non factor.

Out of everything, the most important is the skull attack. Either dodge it, OR GET HIT BY IT, whatever. If you dodge it, less attention has to be paid. If you get hit MAKE SURE TO PAY FULL ATTENTION, getting hit by the skull puts a status effect on you that amplifies hades' next attack by 2x? I'm not really sure, but he fucking chunks you under that status effect, so don't get hit by the skulls or if you do, fucking DODGE. It is an absolute priority to dodge while you have the status effect. I'm not sure but I THINK you can have a minion hit you and knock the skull out of you. Not sure.

Mind you I learned all of this shit because YOU HAVE TO when you're fighting Hades with the fists. If you don't learn any of his animations and just go haha pew pew arrows and bullets you'll never get good. What you're likely seeing in your videos are people who learned all of Hades' patterns that they make him seem like a joke when they're fighting him with a ranged weapon. But the fists will force you to learn EVERY ENEMIES' patterns whether you like it or not, but damn do they hurt once you do.

So that was just the first form. This little rant I wrote is to just get you through it. Once you can get through the first form with a couple of DDs and keep dying come back and I can write up something for the second form that may be of help if this rant helped you out at all. But try giving the second form a watch too. And obviously the second form has multiple "parts" to it. I think it's just two parts though compared to three.

And yeah doing no damage sucks, it happens sometimes, try to make your most damaging ability have Athena or Aphrodite, MAYBE Artemis buffs on them. Stack up some damage amp through Aphrodite's weakness talents and Artemis' Pressure points and crits do more damage and pick up Ares' general damage amp. Daedalus hammer talents that amp damage make a difference. I had a run where my sword was critting Hades for 800s. If you're really stuggling, get more dashes or hyper sprint from Hermes. More life is always good, in general I try to be around 300ish HP for Hades so you can make plenty of mistakes and still win, ALONG with the damage resistance boons from the gods, Gods with DR are Athena, Aphrodite, and Dionysius.

After rewatching one of my runs, it's pretty obvious that I abuse another aspect, when Hades does his spin, he gets "tired" so for quite a bit you have plenty of time to just wail on him before he becomes active. This has more importance in the 2nd phase of Hades for...certain reasons I don't want to spoil. But what I have spoilered are direct things you CAN do to help you in the fight like what boons to take for damage and other tidbits of advice.
