Decided to actually read some of the comments, yeah, they're pretty typical of literally any kind of discussion on the internet where people's names aren't on the table. This one highlighted supposedly hateful comment got a chuckle out of me.

"Just because I'm a heterosexual white male does not mean I hate you, nor does he. You SJW types seriously cannot stand anyone who doesn't align with your beliefs."

Surprised that these articles are still a thing, we're gonna be hitting 20 years soon of mass PC and internet adoption and this habit of rude comments has been here at the start and exists in across all fields. At this point, people are wasting their breath complaining about this. So either they make a platform where you have to link your identity a la Facebook with a verified ID so when you speak, there are social consequences to what you say, or be a true supporter of free speech and accept it and join in and one up on the bantz.

Read the review and thought the time of the article was very odd. The author went on about the trans aspects of the game for the first 5 paragraphs. If this game was about a trans person or that was the subject matter starting your review that way might make sense.

As it was I was turned off by the article and didn't finish reading. I don't know if I would harass the author but if her point of view doesn't match mine I just won't read her work.

The other point is that I think there is a lot to talk about with this game. Both pros and cons. That's why I read a review, to find those things out.

I'm not going to pretend I care about people being mean on the internet, but getting so upset over a couple lame reviews is pretty cringe.

(follow on from my previous post) - I mean it takes a special kind of thinking to acknowledge a problem exists and that there is definitely a guilty party but that the people who are wrong are the ones pointing it out, lol

The only way to stop it is to make people use their real ID online for any website so they can't hide behind fake names and be held accountable for harassment,death threats,etc. That's the only way it will stop.
