He ALWAYS makes sure that Spider-Man is morally kept on his toes. If Spider-Man slips even a little bit when it comes to his moral compass, it's just more fuel for Jameson to use against him. Jameson always has to rely on massive stretches of logic in order to paint Spider-Man as a menace. But if Spider-Man acts as anything other than the noble, fully heroic guy that he is, Jameson can easily get the city to hate him.

I really, really enjoyed him in the PS4 games. He makes some good points in places and it makes you see that he probably was a respectable journalist at one point, he's just so fucking insane about Spiderman.

Yeah, but there are times when he isn't talking about Spider-Man where he makes sense. Like when there's news that the Rhino broke out of his cell, but it's all okay because they put him in a more secure one. He asks, "I thought the point of a supermax prison was that there wasn't anything more secure. He's a 700 pound maniac with an indestructible horn. If there was a more secure cell, WHY WASN'T HE IN IT?"

And after the Raft breakout and Sable starts occupying the city, a lot of his podcasts are genuinely good and heartfelt advice about dealing with the situation.
