At least, as far as I can see.

So he asks me and a coworker to decide who wants to do the truck at 6 A.M. I say I will because hell yeah leaving at 2 that is pretty nice. So, the coworker(a girl he has a thing for...who has told him like twice she isn't interested at all) asks if we need help, and he says sure, but when she expresses doubt he says "breakfast on me." She states she doesn't really want to do it, but will if I think we need it(because two weeks ago I helped them out in similar fashion on the truck so returning the favor). I mention that we should be fine with no extra help. 6AM is 3 hours before live people, and it isn't a huge truck. Just being realistic.

So, I'm thinking hey this breakfast sounds good. I wonder what it will be.

I get to work and not a single word about breakfast was ever discussed. I got food at the dollar store to eat on my break. Now, reading the messages again in the group chat, it seems clear he offered her free breakfast if she came in early. But, if I said she could come in, would I get free breakfast? I legitimately feel like he used free breakfast to get her to want to come in when she expressed doubt. In a further blow to my manager I suggested since with me moving to the A.M. it is four people in the morning and two at night, so she switched to night.

Free, possibly shitty fast food breakfast ain't better than sleep, man!

I am not having an existential crisis over the breakfast; I don't really care about the breakfast. But this is just comical. Sad, but comical. I'm not mad, or upset, at anybody. This is just too good, though. The sadness is making me cackle on the inside.
