Option A: Isometric/Pixel Art RPG with a dark atmosphere. The core game design is to make the AI the main priority and the player secondary. A huge sandbox is unfolding and we could get involved if we want; we have some tertiary models done, and it's pretty cool game play. Basically we're a monk in a Priory in Medieval times, and each "day" is a unique series of events and experiences. Think: Hades, Stardew for modern examples. Work the gardens and grow plants, study them, could maybe make some poisons or disease cures. Work in the Scriptorium and translate scrolls and passages. Etc, etc. Over time, the Prior (head guy) is replaced by an outsider and factions begin to form for control of the monastery. His prayers border on heretical or insanity, etc. Sounds boring so far I know, but it is Lovecraftian in nature. Insidious things begin to happen and whether the player cares or dies early is up to them. Very much a story based isometric but there is everything from combat to crafting planned if even for a one shot narrative. If you die, you become another Monk, and can either steer or watch the conclusion unfold. Option B: Sci-fi/horror. Probably 2D in some capacity. You are a lone radio operator on one of Pluto's moons. Similar to the last you have one big, unique environment but this time you're in sole control. Humanity has either orbital stations or colonies on all the planets in our solar system but, eventually, contact with Mercury is lost. Then Venus. Then Earth is terrified and wants you to make scans/frequency searches all alone in your station. But contact is lost with them too. Mars is next? You get the idea. You will have threads of relationships from Earth to Neptune Station and they'll keep in touch with you, procedurally, depending on your dialog choices. This is a short burst game at about ~4 hours, with an eventual visit on your Pluto Station, by the big threat turning it into a gigantic horror setpiece culminating in your choices. Think: Moon + Event Horizon for movie comparison. --- Since only from below can one better see the heights. https://imgur.com/OhZgm ... Copied to Clipboard!
