Talking about Gris:

It's an emotions platformer, as I like to call them. And I almost didn't pick this up because I've seen plenty of that. You know, interesting art style, not particularly challenging platforming, and emotions. And that's fine, there's some really good emotional indie games overall. This one's about depression...they all are.

It's an entire genre now and it seems like every 2nd game that comes out on switch right now is about being a sad boy in a sad world and jumping over things.

One of my least favorite indie genres is "let's make the story really vague and ambiguous."

Bendy and the Ink Machine should have been much more straightforward.

Guessing Celeste fits in that 'genre' but is also a great game.
