When I could have used superior component cables?

I had no idea. Gosh damnit.

Apparently, it brings your PS2 to LIFE, even on an HDTV (yours should likely have the option)

If you held down the B button on a Gamecube you would initiate PROGRESSIVE SCANNING

Yeah back before HD was even a thing, I remember getting the component cables because they had the Digital Audio output on them, and I needed it for my custom 5.1 DD compatible surround sound I had just bought the last piece for (12 wooferstill have the set, its awesome still), and sometime after, I bought a 27 flatscreen Sony Trinitron, and when I went to hook my shit up, I realized it had the R G B hookups in the back of the TV...so, being curious, I Hooked it up, went into my Xbox settings, and turned the native resolution from 480i to 480p, and it was a night and day difference between what I had been playing on previously. It was literally like an HD upgrade even though it was still SD lol. Some OG Xbox games could be played in 720p if you had the TV and cables for it. Tony Hawk 4 was one of them, and it looked excellent. I remember becoming obsessed with testing out my games that supported progressive scan and/or 720p. Id take my Xbox over to my friends house and test games out on his 60 Box HDTV.
