I got 4 games for Black Friday (this, Doom Eternal, Jedi Fallen Order, and Luigi's Mansion 3.

I'm in chapter 2, and this is really fun. I also have this feeling I'm going to spend an inordinate amount of time with some of these minigames...

I have Kiwami. Never played a Yakuza game. Should I wait until I get the first release or is it okay to play this remake

^ it's more than fine to play the remake, but if you take that route, I recommend playing Y0 first

Everyone says to start to 0, so I did. Apparently the remake is built off of what was established in 0, and has some callbacks, or something.

The only minigames important are Real Estate and Cabaret.
If you want 100% sidequests done then add fishing, bowling, disco, rc cars, and phone dating.
The game is great. Started with 1 and 2, then 0.
Now I gotta play the rest.

When I finally went to Japan back in December, I went to a Don Quijote and the song instantly put a smile on my face.

But yeah, I really want to go back to japan too. I really miss it, I was actually supposed to start working there in April but Covid fucked my plans up. So depressed.

Well 0 is a prequel to Y1. Kiwami1 is a remake of Y1.

Honestly you can start with either 0 or KW1. Just keep in mind KW1 will seem like a major step down in quality compared to 0.

Yeah, it's like a 7 or 8 story-tall Walmart. It's not as narrow and compact as it looks in the game, it's friggin' huge.

I know Kiwami is a remake of the 1st game, but play 0 first. Kiwami has some added plotlines from 0 that are continued in Kiwami and you'll miss out on the context if you play it first.
