Wonder why this is your first assumption when what was the last thing Marvel really fucked up , and people have been fucking up the Alien franchise since Alien 3.

Disney professionally plays it safe and waters source material down so that they can reach the widest audience possible. They frequently shit on the source material with the excuse of it being loosely adapted so they can "adapt their vision/formula".

I think it was canceled, is what I heard. people didn't like the last movie and I remember something about future plans getting canceled or at least majorly delayed to rethink the franchise

There's absolutely no chance he gets to make it. He funneled a lot of his creative ideas, scenery and development of AI colonists with raised by wolves

there is a new show on HBO Max I think made by Ridley Scott. its called like Raised By Wolves or something. it's a weird sci fi story I think about the last surviving humans on earth being kids raised by androids after an apocalypse. I haven't actually seen it, just the ads for it

While that Alien bit is totally true, doesn't that point more to why this shouldn't be made?

And Marvel makes mistakes and mishandles things all the time, this last week had their advertised King in Black mega event where it is pretty clear editors didn't bother doing their job at all. Sentry is given full focus for a number of pages and he's drawn wrong as if his last miniseries never happened.

And on licensed stuff, I don't want Conan the barbarian running around in the modern day swinging axes while Punisher is gunning people down and I wouldn't be too surprised if they do a bunch of dumb Alien crossover stuff too.

I wonder if Disney will bother with stuff like Alien and Predator when they have such a massive line up of other properties and stuff like Star Wars and Marvel just seem to sustain themselves.
