Its really amazing how much the show and its characters grow and change throughout the years. Not just in the sense of fan service, but actually paying off seeds they planted many seasons earlier; one of the most noteworthy of these being (BIG spoilers) ~~Season 7 paying off Orpheus' seemingly-comical prediction in Season 1 that the Action Man would suffer a stroke.~~ TheOnionKnight posted... One of the creators (Jackson Publick, I think) was a writer for The Tick (90's cartoon version), so in hindsight it's not surprising that what they really wanted to do with VB was focus on deconstructing the superhero mystique and treat it like an everyday job, complete with unions, arbitrary rules, and assloads of paperwork.
