Glad you mentioned that, I noticed competitive smash uses PS2 a lot but not PS1. Until now I always wondered why.

I really like that matchup. Ace said it favors Falcon and I believe it would, but its weird for Falcon if you dont know it because K. Rool is different from say Bowser, DK, and Ganon in loads of ways.

Just looked at my registration, I'm fighting someone named Beezy. Looks like his best placed finish was 193rd in a recent MSM.

haha i wasn't kidding! it's super noticeable with the west coast connections. ironically enough though, my game felt really good. had to play a min min. Games were close, but he was solid. He has a pretty impressive tournament record so i wasnt too upset that i lost

my internet is absolutely shitting the bed. My first opponent was Taco's Ness. The matchup isn't good, but decided fuck it, I'm going DK lol.

Match started out all right, I sort of thought maybe I could beat him. But unfortunately halfway through the game, there was some extreme lag. Then I noticed he stopped playing, so I checked the chat and noticed he called a mod.

I didn't bother with the lag test, I know 100%, it's on my end so I just forfeited. I could have went forward with the test, but I know it's on my end because I can't seem to get connected to the internet on my laptop, which is why I'm on my phone right now. (Using Smash.gg on my phone absolutely sucks)

Oh well. I'll see if I can get it fixed for losers

I lost 0-2 to a Bowser. Not to be salty but I honestly believe I would've won those matches if I didn't have like a 20 frame button lag. I lost 2 stock in my second match from weird buffered inputs as Banjo while recovering.

all good, Bowser is a hard character for me to play against. he has that Side B that I hate. And that (I think) down b move where he goes in his shell and falls downward, I hate it. He gets out of my combos so easily that way.

Yeah I got manhandled by him in Match 1, as Dedede because we were playing Town & City and he just kept doing Bowser Bomb on the side platforms.

The first game I was ahead the entire time, then Dedede's up+B did that thing it does like 1 in 100 times where it just clips through the ledge and I died instantly on my last stock, while I was in the lead. Couldn't shake it off and played like a godamn chump the second game.

Fuck me.

totally understand. that has happened to me a lot in tourneys, hard to shake off losses sometimes. were you nervous when you played? i tend to get nervous a lot and i feel like it affects my gameplay.

Not even really that nervous. I was just pissy and came out swingin' in the second match. I lost that first game when he was like 78% and I was like 30%. It was super fucked up. As I was jumping up to the platform, in my head I was like "I really hope it doesn't do that thing where it clips through the ledge."

Losers bracket is at 9pm. We'll see if I can do anything there lol.

I had an exact repeat in my final match, just as Banjo instead of Dedede. I'm ahead in the game, and then I just fucking don't grab the ledge on a low percent and end up losing.

Why am I so godamned bad at this fucking game.

yesterday i was kinda frustrated because my internet was ass and i ended up DQing from MSM because of it. doesnt help i called spectrum a few weeks ago and they couldnt do anything to get my bill down. i couldn't connect wirelessly to anything and could only use LAN.

well i'm kinda a dumbass because I logged into the portal of my modem, and noticed the SSID and password changed to some default CharterWifi name. dunno how that changed, but I changed it to Pumkin Pifi and was able to connect wirelessly again >_> also, apparently my band was set as 2.4 GHz rather than the max, and my bandwidth was only set as 20 Mhz instead of the max.

Game 2

took my first two stocks. on my last stock I ran off stage just to keep my dignity. he technically didn't 3 stock me >_>

ngl, that game against that wii fit trainer really killed me, I really don't know why. the dude was super nice too, nothing against him. not to rant about pointless bullshit, but holy cow I have really bad mental health and it really affects my ability to play this game on a serious level. anyone else feel that way? seems like you guys are a lot more levelheaded than I am. when I lost to that wii fit, no joke, I told myself I was never going to play this game again. im probably gonna play again when someone asks again >_>

hey nothing wrong with taking a break and stepping away from the game. everyone reacts differently to loses and there's nothing wrong with it. you seem to get more down on yourself whereas i just get pissed. its okay to step away at the end of the day or just go back in and try to get better. whatever works for you.

also im totally down to play right now. elite smash is ass
