Poll of the Day > Anyone else get depressed when playing Fallout?

The world always seems so barren, empty, and depressing. Elder scrolls probably has about the same population, but felt different. Like it was a early world, growing. Fallout seemed the opposite, which is sad because I liked the theory and the story, but it always made me depressed. Like the world was shitty, and about to end.

Absolutely, I played the shit outta fallout 3 when it first came out and eventually it put me in a really dour state untill i walked away for a couple months
didnt happen with new vegas tho I think that world feels a lot more alive I guess
fallout 4 I was just upset how shit the game was LOL

I have this with some games but oddly none of the fallout games did it to me. Sucks when a fun game puts you in a bad mood after a while.

Seemed like the atmosphere they were going for. The world is on the brink. It was previously not thought to exist at all outside of the vault.

Not really. I just played like 100+ hours on Fallout 4 last year, and it takes place in my hometown city (Boston). I actually loved it
