I had a few plans, but my last plan was to move the bottom rook to the left under the other rook. I think... Then move the op rook down one. So bottom rook left once. Then top rook down one...

That should work. Like 99% percent sure. I have a friend who's been playing chess a lot lately... Well, it was a couple months ago...

The response to this is for the black right rook to move up to attack the bishop. if white moves the top rook it kills the bishop, if white moves the bottom rook it kills that rook, if white moves their top rook on top of the king the king captures it

After the first move, the rook can move up to take the bishop, but it doesn't matter. Because when you move the second rook down once, the king has to either move or take the rook. And it can't take the rook because of the bottom rook, right? It's hard when I can't see how the movements look... I'll keep trying, though...

That's true. You would probably eventually win that way, but not in two moves. Then I have no idea...

im not good at chess, but I've got two moves but it's assuming the king moves top left white and not straight up on the first escape... so it's not really guaranteed two moves

What if you move the top rook down one, then the bottom rook up two? What do they do? Though, I guess it depends on what happens after the first move...

When you move the top rook down one the king immediately goes up-left

I can't remember if we tried this. Move the bottom rook up two first. Then, when the computer uses the rook to take your rook, move the second rook down once...

yeah that works. at least I think. the second moving is moving the same one up either to the tippy top or one below it (either works)

e2 rook to e5, black rook at g4 goes to g2 and puts your king in check (or the other one takes the pawn or w/e), then d5 rook to d2 and mate

Ok, after many games with the computer at chess.com I think I'm about 1200

I can beat "Sven" almost every time, but "Nelson" just wrecks me

However, it's not a direct comparison since the chess.com AIs do have gimmicks - Sven will favour moves that result in no piece loss (neutral/defensive game) whereas Nelson plays early dominant Queen (Wandering Queen/Scholar's Mate, etc)

The engine says I have advantage and that his next few queen moves are mistakes, but I can never capitalize on this.

Also the engine weighs knights higher than bishops which I tend to disagree with, I'd weigh a knight as a 2.8 vs. a Bishop 3, and if the knight is on an edge, only a 2.

I also like bishops more. Knights are ok, but erratic to me. You could always moved that G2 pawn up. He'd have to move that queen to keep it. After you move the pawn, if he takes the knight instead, he's lose the bishop and queen... But he would probably move the queen... And he'd have to retreat to not lose it.
