The donation being recognized does something as far as influence over their fanbase at least, but I'd also question what the end translation really is. This could be interpreted as a PR move in the end to appeal to their outside fanbase, as shallow as that sounds. While they have that relation of being subject to their own discrimination, I'm pretty sure they're quite distant from close association to our more local conflicts. It's good that they are giving back to the actual organizations who are out there trying to make a difference. The Koch Brothers definately aren't lining up to support BLM. Some of the democrats are but even they are focused on their own wealth at the highest level. They aren't a business. One of my friends runs BLM where I live. The other runs Oxfam. This is what he does. It's not a typical business. They speak to business people and educate them about social responsibility. THe Koch Brothers are out there on the other side of the fence funding things like the tea party and everything else. The Tea Party was created to basically mask the entire process. So that corporations can have their way. Citizens United and all that was designed so that money gets funnelled back to the wealthy.
