California will learn nothing from this. I'm convinced that as long as they have Hollywood by the balls they'll continue to shrug off everyone else leaving.

Hollywood is going to be drastically affected too since their revenue will be much less due to the closure and possible eliminations of theaters.

I had a laptop die on me last week and I only had it for 2 years. It was an HP. I will never purchase anything from that company again. I don't fucking trust them. I saw this news earlier and I am glad I jumped ship when I did.

This is HPE, the business side of the company focused on severs and B2B stuff. Not the personal computer side. It got split in half about the time of the death of WebOS. Not that the geniuses in this topic understand.

did you call their support?

most laptop manufacturers use the same internal components, except for maybe the mobo. so this isnt something thats more likely for HP than any other company really

They still make decent office printers and passable network gear, but yeah their computers blow ass and have for a long time. I'm in IT and get asked all the time what to get, and I always tell them what not to get. HP. Acer as well, those are even cheaper pieces of garbage.

It was a blue screen that persisted after a full OS wipe and reinstall (failed at 2% reinstall, same blue screen error as initially. The warranty was already expired. I was fully locked out, including command prompt, system full reset (already did that anyway) and every other way to troubleshoot.

With regard to this topic specifically, what's the difference? Or were you just trying to flex on posters with your basic knowledge of HP's business history?

I've had to replace a broken internal fan in my HP laptop. Twice.

It started giving me issues a third time, and I just got a new laptop.

This could be what did it. It always ran hot. I actually woke up with a big fucking blister on my hand after a night of heavy drinking. I determined that I had fallen alseept iwth my hand on the laptop and it was THAT HOT but that was a while ago. Nothing like that ever happened again.

Yeah, they are one of the big 3 for enterprise computers. The other two are dell and Lenovo. Generally, any other brand is not worth buying for business. Dell is top dog though
