It's weird with Asians because there seems to be this duality: Asians are seen as less able to integrate into white society, yet Asians are seen as more able to integrate into white society. The two directly contradict each other, so how is that possible? Is it to do with stereotypes regarding crime rates, education levels, etc. in comparison with other races? Like they're perceived to be perpetual foreigners, yet at the same time they're not as harshly on the receiving end of racism as the Black and Hispanic communities. How did a society come to make this strange decision?

they ARE discriminated against. but society for the most part dont give a shit.
that's why you often see racism towards asians getting ignored or hand waved by bare minimum tolerant CEman.

By Asians, do you mean both Eastern Asians and Indian Subcontinent/Southeast Asians? Because I'd say the latter group faces more discrimination than the former..

they are stereotyped as economically prosperous and overperforming compared to other minorities so i think in the mind of the diet-racist middle-american there's less to complain about in regards to them
