I was thinking maybe it allowed Link to get Heart Containers from the enemies he defeats, except that Child Link in Ocarina of time doesnt have the Triforce of Courage. I was thinking it caused him to have courage, but he has courage in a lot of games without it, and if he does get it, it doesn't make much of a change about how much courage he has. Like wtf? Does it even do ANYTHING? Link plenty of times has courage without it and in the stories he gets it later, it doesn't really do much of anything that he hasn't already done.

I always figured with the wisdom part seems to me like it's sole purpose is to give Zelda a single spell that causes Ganandorf to be slightly perturbed for like, 10 seconds...in every game

That was my take on each in terms of how they they applied to the concepts of creation and destruction. I think it's more poetic than "the one that shoots fireballs".
