I just feel in a constant slog and can't really even bring myself to even bother to feel anything anymore. Does this ever get better?

i watched this documentary once called fight club where the main character started a fight club and he really found freedom and a stress free lifestyle via his newfound fight club lifestyle

Start looking into practicing physical, mental and spiritual wellness.

Cut the bad habits. Start eating better. Drink more water. Work out regularly. Listen to calming music. Practice how to meditate and have proper breath control.

I've already made serious strides in improving myself physically and mentally to no avail in terms of feeling any better

Not really. I have a homie who specializes in this stuff and I'm trying to work with him on this but there's only so much he can do before my own free will has to be the driving force

I can tell you from experience that, even when your depression has utterly consumed you, it's not too late to come back from it.

Getting help is key. Yeah, I know, you think you can't afford it, I didn't either, but you may have a facility in your area that wont charge you much if anything.

In my case I was only being charged the cost of my depression meds which was like $70 for a 3 month supply.
It's worth calling around to see what they can do for you. You might be surprised.
