thought it was great at first. Combat fantastic, and visuals were pretty amazing.

But it suffers the same damn problem as every other sandbox game like assassins creed and horizon zero dawn. Repetitiveness.

Same base takeovers. Story missions are all pretty much the same. There's no change of pace and there's absolutely 0 variety. Oh yeah, world feels completely lifeless too. Enemy patrol here and there, survivor camps with quests but you dont really interact with any NPC's at all. its a dead world filled with "Go here, kill them, come back" quests

Honestly fuck sandbox games. Im done with them

The only open world game that was good this generation was probably Witcher 3 and RDR2

It also might be my age. I'm an adult working full time and going to school. I kinda dont have time to do repetiive missions over and over again, and I prefer smaller, compact games but packed with fun and replayability
My favorite single player games of this generation are sekiro and resident evil 2. Both are smaller games but gameplay is fun af

The reason The Witcher 3 didn't have that problem is that was a huge story set in a huge world. They didn't have a ton of empty space where all you did was clear out a base full of bad guys.

I traded my copy for 3 vr games. It just wasn't for me. It was okay but not groundbreaking. Also the fact that if you change the dialogue to japanese (which is what the game is "supposed" to be) the lip synching is still in English which I thought was really dumb.

Play it on a higher difficult and it's a more enjoyable.

I preferred the gradual transition in gameplay from starting out weak and having to use stealth to being able to pretty much solo an entire base at the end but yeah, definitely not unique.

I liked its story though and I enjoyed the duels.
