It looks like its good but I always have a hard time noticing the little things that can make it break a monitor. Also, yes its 60hz and that is what I want.

Well, it is FreeSync-compatible.

Why do you want to limit yourself to 60hz?

It's fine and all but ever since getting a 144hz monitor I can never go back

Well FreeSync (or to give it the brand-neutral name, "VESA Adaptive Sync") means you don't need Vsync and thus you don't lose frames when the monitor needs to resynchronize the frame and vertical refresh with the input source (so zero-lag outside of the display itself). It also puts less strain on the CPU because the CPU isn't trying to output a synchronized frame with the GPU before it pushes it. The GPU and the display work in tandem to always display a synced image (so long as you stay within the adaptive sync tolerance range; you'll need to constrain your maximum FPS to a certain value in order to stay within that range or you will see screen tears when the frame rate falls to a point where the adaptive sync can't keep up with it).

You'll need to also get a DisplayPort cable to use it, though.

Seems fine, but not going to win any awards for color reproduction or anything.

Well I want a 4K 120/144 hz monitor but the prices are insane. I play on PC and Xbox Series X. I tend to play more on my Xbox so Ill get more bang for my buck with 60hz. I had a great 1440p 144hz monitor that I broke. I went back to my 60hz monitor with the HDR either being bad or busted and I cant take it. I know I can handle 60hz since I switch back to it all the time.

One day 4K 144hz HD10 monitors wont be thousands of dollars and I can future proof myself

This is very important to me. I want really good colors but I cant tell what is considered really good. I thought HDR10 was good but there seems to always be a catch

Heres one review I found. Maybe this will help you decide if it's what you're looking for.

This helped me a lot actually. Thanks. Ill pull the trigger but I need to confirm one more thing first...

@Solid_Sonic

Why would I need a display port cable? It comes with HDMI ports. Am I missing something important here?

DisplayPort is the only way you can get VESA Adaptive Sync. It needs to be DP at both ends. I imagine it has something to do with DisplayPort's royalty-free implementation.

That is just the latest tech right? Ill still get standard FreeSync without it right? I mean.. I want this to work well on my Series X and PC. I dont think the Series X has a display port.

No, it's absolute. You need a DisplayPort to get FreeSync. Both devices have to support it, though (if you have a newer GPU, it will support it; both companies have implementations of it, Nvidia's being called "G-Sync Compatible").

But you can just use the included HDMI cable to connect to the Xbox Series X because it doesn't have a DP. I'm saying get a DP cable for your PC. Since you want to use it with both you'd need two cables anyway, I assume (I'm guessing you're keeping your XSX on your desk).

No, you definitely support it if it's Turing (the RTX 20-series). It was introduced in the previous generation (Pascal, GTX 10-series).

It's a setting you configure in the Nvidia Control Panel once you've connected your PC via DisplayPort. You either set it to be on only when an application is running in full-screen or at all times by having it also work on windowed applications. You can also use the Nvidia Control Panel to set individual games to run at a certain framerate threshold in order to keep it within G-Sync range (though at only 60 Hz you probably won't need to).

Also once you've turned on G-Sync Compatible mode, you turn off Vsync in your games because it's no longer necessary. If your games are running too fast that's when you turn on the frame rate limiter I mentioned above.
