Friends of the pair say "fate wasn't on their side" and said they looked like the real deal and were besotted with each other after Zac went to Australia to hide from COVID-19 and even considered leaving Hollywood behind. He even took Vanessa back to the US with him and she quit her job.

He has been renting a place by the Beach in Byron Bay and she's been living with him and he suggested staying in Australia long term.

Zac was there to film a new Stan Original movie but the long distance was straining their relationship ultimately causing them to call it quits
