Finishing up college in a few weeks and then Im gonna start looking for a new job.

Working in a grocery store is not fun any time, but its particularly awful around this time of year. And the company I work for is absolute shit. Im not compensated anywhere near well enough and Im treated like garbage.

I know I should be thankful to even have a job right now but... fuck this shit, honestly. Hopefully thisll be the last holiday season I have to put up with

Working in a grocery store this entire year has been detrimental to everyone's wellbeing that's an employee, I think. This particular holiday season has just been icing on the shit cake. Like, yesterday, I was talking with one of my bosses, the assistant manager, and she swore she was about to scream if one more person asked her where the canned cranberry was. "It's fruit. In a can. We have a canned fruit aisle." Also, the Deli manager confirmed what another coworker had told me last year, in how so many people call just to ask how to put the damn turkey in the oven, as though Google doesn't exist.

Yeah its the worst. Ive put up with this garbage for way, way too long and I wish I was able to go to school years ago like I planned.. and then shit happened and it kept snowballing into more shit.

Course, I shouldve been smart enough to continue my education instead of taking a year or so off after high school.

Only an Associates, but I plan on getting some more education to supplement that too. I need to look to see what kind of certifications or programs are out there that I can complete in like a year so I dont necessarily have to get another degree.

My main this is right now get the hell out of retail, youre wasting your life and its destroying you mentally and physically
