Current Events > Morally, why shouldn't some developer be able to make an F-Zero game and sell it

If a developer that was really passionate about the F-Zero series (which Nintendo clearly isn't) wanted to make a new 3D F-Zero game that was relatively high budget and was only really possible to make if they were able to sell it, why shouldn't they be able to do so from a moral standpoint?
