I feel like I'm having a hard time deciding how much I want to put in savings accounts (money market, 401k), etc. and how much I want to invest. I'm currently putting 10% of my income in my 401k and moving small amounts to my money market account so I'll have some cash on hand.

Then I usually end up using most of my disposable income for investing in stocks. Dividend stocks have been a relatively low risk and low reward kind of thing, but some of my stocks are growing like crazy, so it's hard to be like "Yeah, I should put more money in this account that only grows at 0.40% instead."

No, I am saving money on the side. It's just a struggle of where to put said money.

My money market account makes 0.4% interest per year.

My stock portfolio has grown magnitudes faster than that.

I'd like to have a good amount of money sitting in my money market account for emergencies, but it's also a struggle to let it sit there and grow so slowly.
