Why do people commonly peddle the notion of dead people voting? Is there any truth to it?

Also apparently some YT commenters say Sidney Powell, now working independently of Trump's legal team, has supposedly been given too little time to find evidence of voter fraud. How is that supposed to work? What does that even mean?
People are dumb/have an agenda. No. It doesn't. It means democrats are especially good at hiding their vans full of Biden votes from patriotic republicans like Powell who just needs a bit more time to find them, preferably just in time for Trump to leave office in 2024, haha.

I'm not even entirely sure why I follow people like those. They basically dismiss everything from the "mainstream" media because they think it's full of junk (might have a point), but then they hinge onto tiny conspiracy theories just because they were completely blindsided by the actual result.

Dead people voting isn't anything new so technically yes there's truth to it in that it happens and with mail in voting it becomes a lot easier. But the demand is for some high five or six figures and that's just not the case.

If it were then she'd need a ton of proof and that's to the second question: it doesn't work. She's just putting on a show and in her chance to prove her claims as something more, she showed absolutely nothing. What she/people supporting her mean is that the fraud is so rampant that it's impossible to find it all and deal with it in a month. What's actually meant is she's got nothing but is bullshitting hard. Her whole "this isn't for you, I can't show anybody this info, only the courts!" nonsense is one of the biggest pleas to ignorance in the whole mess.

brains' a bit murky with that wording because law stuff being talked about. reasonable in a legal sense, yes. personally, lmao no. by all means if you wanna put the administration to task, go for it, but a defendant should always walk when the prosecutor drops the case. only exceptions that exist are pro-defendant, not pro-prosecution. that probably applies to all the west but definitely does for the US.

Taken altogether it looks like people are desperately trying to cite certain statistics to justify why things didn't go their way.

Yes, it's for the legislature. They also have a role in the process and are on hold for now basically. There's some confusion on whether it was a judge, the legislature themselves, or both but it's another legal step that'll probably be settled by Friday anyway.

Yeah. Personally I'd be in favor of amending the constitution to remove the ability to pardon someone with personal ties to the pardoner (though I think that would only affect one of Bevin's gross pardons).

Absolute pardon power allows the president to have people to commit crimes on his behalf with no consequences besides possibly impeachment (which is in fact what happened in the Stone case). Put me down for that being a bad thing.

(Also the president could literally sell pardons)

absolute pardon power also makes sure there's no concern of legal arguments or bullshit to weave through. it's just done and whoever is the target of it is free to go.

also governors pardon too.

seriously, you want more pardons, not less, not more restrictions on it. you want this thing to be broad for maximum value and effect.

edit:
don't think he can self pardon, no.
it's an interesting question but leans towards a no he can't.

According to twitter, Flynn can be forced to testify against Trump now, and theres nothing he can do, and if he lies hes totally fucked.

No idea how true this is, but the fifth amendment trend seems to think this is going to bite Flynn and Trump in the ass.

you don't go for a single target for reform and the pardon isn't really something of a target for this either. it's the ultimate, last ditch hail mary available that is as absolute as it gets. logically it makes sense too since it's the executive who enforces the law after all; if the executive says you're free to go, then you're free to go, regardless of what anyone in any other branch says.
