I wouldn't change it for any other reason. 1: She has a last name that's a lot cooler than mine 2: She's prestigious in her field, and her name carries weight 3: She's the last one to carry the family name, and it's really important to her because her family has made a huge deal about continuing it Otherwise she would have to take my last name. I would hyphenate if the combined name sounded good, which would be very unlikely unless she had a one syllable name.
