I have come up with an idea that I am calling the pass it on challenge. Its inspired by the game telephone that was played back in the day but with a broader appeal I am hoping. The goal is to eventually turn this idea into a game show where random people can win money but also a portion goes to charity, since with how the pandemic has been delivering nothing but bad things to people by being connected, this will hopefully spread good things. Even if the ultimate goal of turning it into a game show doesnt happen, getting people to participate in this challenge is something I hope to accomplish just because I think its interesting. The goal is simple; pass on a message to a celebrity or someone of stature in our culture (actor, musician, politician, CEO, athlete, inventor, visionary etc) by telling one person who you know, who then tells another person, who then tells another person and so on and so on until that message is ultimately delivered to the final destination. The catch is it cannot be a tweet or a mass post video or a DM directly to that celebrity. You have to deliver the message, either in person or on video to ONE person, and once you pass that message your part is finished. The idea of money going to charity will be something that will come about only if this is able to get turned into something bigger. I do have details on how I think that should work but I honestly have no idea if this will even get off the ground so Ill save that information if the time ever comes.

I will be offering a prize of 5,000 dollars + something for any messengers along the way if someone with some pull gives me a call or gets in contact with me with a way to turn this into something bigger. That will incentivize the messengers along the way to participate as well. The less people it takes the more money they would get. Now, of course, if you want to post this idea where hundreds or thousands of people can see it and see if it passes along that way you can, but to actually win the prize money I am offering, you must follow these rules:

1. You have to pass the message to one person and document it by some sort of recording. The person who you are giving the message must also be ok with you passing the message to them and them being shown on video for confirmation purposes. You are not allowed to force people into giving up their privacy. If they do not want to pass the message along, you must find someone else that you know.
2. You cannot get in touch with someone who you know knows someone and can help you get in contact with that person to bypass people to deliver the message. If thats the case your message should go to that person who then has to decide who they are giving it to. It will be your prize money regardless how many people it goes through but in order for this idea to succeed, it must go on fairly.

If we are actually able to deliver a message to someone of importance just by passing it along from one person to the next it will prove that my idea can actually work. I realize the fact I am posting this to more than one person might seem like a contradiction, however this is just to get the idea off of the ground. I actually did tell one person my message and sent them on their own way just in case it works that way for the original message. I will be posting this here and on other places as well to get as many people involved as possible. It is a very simple concept all you need is a voice. If anyone thinks they can deliver on this to win the prize money, message me and keep me updated on your progress. Keep the videos sent to you by the people passing on the message and if it does go high enough for someone that can make my idea happen and they get in contact with me, you will win 5,000 dollars+anything extra if I am able to convince them to turn the idea into a show.

Now, one last important bit of information. The message. You can explain to whoever you are giving the message to my whole concept but the actual message that you are to pass on to that person is would you like to hear more about my idea that could change the world? For this message there is no final destination. No specific person in mind. Just someone who knows someone who can possibly make this happen. And if it never does, feel free to participate in your own pass it on challenge and see how far you can make it. Thank you for your time.

Also, I have already registered this idea online with the Writers Guild of America JUST in case someone thinks about taking the idea as their own.

If they get in contact with me then yes, you win the prize. There is no limit on the amount of people the message needs to go through. Assuming they are interested in the idea that is.

No for this initial message delivery it has to culminate with me getting a call or message from someone with some pull to turn this into something bigger. Whether it does or not if I get to pitch my full idea to someone yes you would win the prize but I think the AG of Hawaii would have to just be a part of the chain and pass the message on to someone like a producer or creative director etc. So they CAN be a part of the message chain and you can still win the money but they need to pass the message along and document it just like you would to win the 5,000. Unless the AG of Hawaii has some pull in the industry or something in which case...yeah I guess haha.

I would think you would have a better chance of the AG of Hawaii having a connection to someone who I could pitch my idea for a game show to. The way you get the money is all laid out in the OP record yourself sending a message to someone who can then pass the message along to one other person etc etc and get me a phone call or a meeting with someone. A message from the AG of Hawaii saying hello thank you for your support have a nice day isnt exactly the end goal.

Now hold on. Nowhere did you say that the end person delivering the message had to have pull specifically in show biz. You said it yourself that a politician is fine. And in post #5 you said that you can give the message directly to the person, bypassing everything else, as long as the message gets to you.

And rule #1 doesnt stop what Im suggesting. I just record myself with my phone and then record myself showing ms. Connors my recording. Its not like shes afraid of being recorded either; shes in the newspaper and on the news all the time.

Youre confusing my original idea where I said (athlete CEO politician etc) with this idea. Those are two separate things. One is my actual idea for the game show the other is to get my idea off the ground. No random athlete has the ability to get my idea pitched to a network or something. Only someone with pull or connection in the tv industry does. The athlete can be a conduit on the way but cant be the final destination unless its like...Lebron James.

No...Im pitching my own idea by trying to get in contact with someone to show my idea can actually work. Anyone who helps is a messenger along the way of my original idea. But I dont need you to pitch the idea for me I have my own pitch. The pitch is about getting people involved in sending a message from person to person until it reaches someone of importance in the showbiz industry. I can handle it from there and Im willing to compensate for the help along the way to show the idea works. Its pretty standard. Im not sending my idea directly to a showbiz person or sending my idea to a website with people who are looking for ideas. This is a random forum with people who most likely arent in the showbiz industry.

Well like I said, ms. Connors is on the news quite often. Its not uncommon for news anchors to be going in and out of the building, so shes no stranger to the media.

Although if you truly want this to be a thing, why in the hell would you impose all these restrictions? Why not just make a single rule (that you would specify, rather than burying in one of the wall o texts) stating that you need to be able to get in contact specifically with someone in the media?

I agree she probably isnt any stranger to the media which is why her being a messenger to pass it along makes more sense than her being the one who can just make a show happen. And I honestly thought the getting into contact was something in the showbiz industry was clear in the idea but since its a lot of text I can understand where it would get missed.

Yes. Getting into contact with someone from showbiz is the end goal of this idea. Any restrictions were to make it legit because I want the message chain to be completely in the spirit of the original idea.

Its not for me its for everyone. Every idea starts with telling it to someone else. And I even say if it doesnt materialize into anything thats fine the prize money will still be given and if it gains traction without turning into anything else tv wise thats fine too. I have posted this a few places but theres no desperation if people dont want to see if my idea can work thats completely fine.

This isnt a get rich scheme and I honestly dont think its as dumb an idea as people think. I think its pretty interesting like a coin thats been around for decades and who has handled it to see if a message can get passed around the world and end up at a certain destination by nothing but our connections with people

i think you just need to be a lot more clear about what your end goal is. like, i'm 2 degrees of separation from an NHL and and MLB player. i could probably get to anyone in either of those leagues in another step or two. but, you're not really giving any motivation for anyone to do so. it's an interesting thought experiment, maybe, but it really doesn't seem like something people will care about enough to do in real life without something actually important behind the message.

The motivation is 5,000 dollars to pass along a simple message. And the message is important I believe connecting people in a positive way compared to how the pandemic has connected people in a negative way could bring people together and also raise money for charity. If youre that close to an NHL player pass along the message and if the NHL/MLB player knows someone who knows someone in show business and would hear out my idea then congrats you just won 5,000 dollars by saying a few words. Obviously if the rules were abided by though. Only message one person and document it and that person must also record it and document it to the next person but only one person etc.
